Part 1 — Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Spice Builder is operated by Marriage Respiced, founded by Sharon M. Finney ("we," "us," "our"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information of the couples who use our App.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Names — the first names you and your partner enter during onboarding.
• Email addresses — if you choose to sign up for our welcome email and updates.
• Relationship details you enter — such as whether you are married or engaged, your anniversary date, and activity progress.
• Payment information — when you subscribe, processed and stored by Stripe, not by us.

Information stored on your device

Most of your app data — your points, streaks, completed activities, and preferences — is stored locally on your own device, not on our servers. This means your private reflections and progress generally stay with you.

Information collected automatically

We may collect limited technical data such as device type and general usage, used only to keep the App working well.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and personalize the App experience.
• To send you a welcome email and, if you opt in, occasional updates about new books, resources, and events from Marriage Respiced.
• To process subscriptions and provide customer support.
• To improve the App.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Stripe — to process payments securely.
• Email service providers — to deliver emails you have opted into.
• Legal authorities — only if required by law.

5. Your Choices

• Email: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email.
• Your data: Because most data is stored on your device, you can clear it anytime using the in-app reset, or by deleting the App.
• Access & deletion requests: You may contact us to request access to or deletion of any personal information we hold about you.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards including HTTPS encryption and secure payment processing through Stripe. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email.

Part 2 — Refund Policy

9. Free Trial

All subscription plans (Monthly and Annual) include a 3-day free trial. You may cancel anytime during the trial and you will not be charged. We encourage you to explore the App fully during this window to decide if it is right for you.

10. Subscription Charges

• If you do not cancel before the 3-day trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged automatically.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
• You may cancel anytime; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then.

11. Refunds

• Monthly subscriptions: Generally non-refundable once charged, since you may cancel during the free trial to avoid any charge. If you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.
• Annual subscriptions: If you are unsatisfied, contact us within 14 days of the initial charge for a full refund. After 14 days, refunds are provided at our discretion, typically prorated.
• Lifetime plan ($165): Refundable within 14 days of purchase if you have not extensively used premium features. The Lifetime plan is available to individual couples only and may not be used by ministries or organizations, which must use the Ministry License.
• Ministry License: Refundable within 14 days of purchase, prorated thereafter at our discretion.

12. How to Request a Refund or Cancel

To cancel a subscription, use the subscription-management portal linked in the App, or contact us. To request a refund, reach out through marriagerespiced.com with your name and the email used at purchase. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

13. Books & Third-Party Purchases

Books by Sharon M. Finney purchased through third-party retailers are subject to that retailer's refund policy, not this one.
